Practice Race 1 this was cool, 13 DRIVERS, top 6 cars were within a few hundredths after qual and the back of the pack had everyone bunched up by a few hundredths also... i qual 5th ended up 4th, great racing all thru the entire field only a few wrecks, nothing big...
Practice Race 2 Started 2nd row from the back, got a most excellent start (Bill & Ted style) and was in 2nd b4 lap 1 was over, but i could not hold off the faster guys and they eventually got by me over the race time 1 by 1 so i ended up 4th again....
super fun, so now, if we can get a few back with us, stash, hauptmann6, ay3nz1, Fohat, Racer48, ita47 we can fill the 24 slot server.... how fun would that be?

To be honest, I don't really remember much from the race. 1st race was fairly straightforward for me. Had a good start. Gov kept up for a couple of laps but then i got into a "rithm" and slowly but surely created a gap which gave me the win in race one. 2nd race. I had to start from the back. Decided to be very carefull. Coming up to Maggot's a couple of guys were fighting for position slowing themselves and others down enough for me to take advantige of that fact. Trying (and succeeding) to stay out of trouble I managed to fight to the front and take the lead. Again worked on creating a bit of a gap and taking the win. I did however saw in the mirror that 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th positions were hard fought over.
All in all a very good day of racing. And a good number of drivers.
Onto the next one, Zandvoort.

Iron Roads Zandvoort Race weekend recap. Wow, everyone was much faster for qualifying. I think almost the entire field was with in a second. And two cars had identical lap times! I thought to myself the racing was going to be really good and close!
Race 1: Scott T got by me into turn 1, again! Ron got punted off in front of us, and we settled in for the race. Bo was right behind me. We drove like this for quite some time. Seemed like no driver could shake the others. I made a small mistake in the second to last corner and Bo got along side all the way to turn 1. But I had my mind made up and that spot was mine!
I raced around behind the two in front, trying to be smooth and maybe gain time. They were racing hard and allowed me to catch up a little. Scott T got by Grock, but not long after he made a small mistake and that gave me time to get by.
I did my best to keep up and try to gain time to Grock. The whole time Scott T was there to pick up any pieces. At one point, I was very close on the front straight and was able to draft along his side. Somehow the tries stuck, and I was able to pass on the inside of turn 1. I was able to hold the position and finished the race in 4th!
Race 2: Seems like I am not doing turn 1 lap one right. I got passed again. There was a bit of a mess entering our favorite corner. I locked up the brakes, and went right into the pile up. I thought race was over as the car went onto two wheels for a bit. I was able to recover and get on track behind Bo. Next time I have to try and pay attention further ahead of me, and maybe drive to avoid.
I felt down thinking such a great weekend would end badly. Clicked away laps behind Bo, and started feeling some hope as I heard people apologizing on Discord. Bo and I caught up to Jose And Scott T. The racing was really good. Eventually we caught Peter. With about five minutes to go I was giving it my best.
Near the end of the race, Scott T made a little mistake into the chicane allowing Bo to get by, and I was under his wing. I might have gone a little too deep into the next corner. Watching the replay, I knocked Scott T so hard I got him onto two wheels. During the race I thought it was just a little bump that got him sideways. I made sure to give him another bump to straighten him out through the corner.
Hard racing I thought,m so I did not wait to let him by. I wanted another position on track! Scott T on my tail, Bo and Peter fighting it out in front of me, I knew something was going to happen. Going down the front straight right under Bo's bumper I faked a move to the inside, hoping to catch him looking in the mirror. How happy was I as he went wide into turn 1!
I finished right behind Peter, with my mirror full of rivals. It was a great race. I never gave up, and kept trying hard every lap. I had a very fun time.
