Just wanna say thanks to Coby for putting Ironman back together. I had pretty much quit all this stuff after James passed. Just lost all interest in it. I think what I have seen so far, is that Assetto Corsa is far superior to what rFactor ever thought of being. Of course I haven't played rFactor in over 5 years, so I am sure it is probably better now. Wish more of the old crew could or would come back! But it is what it is an I am happy to be back involved. I'll do my best to keep us in our favorite car liveries as long as I can, as summer means a lot more hours on the road. And I have a camper also that we try and take out once a month too. Thanks guys! Your the best!

Awesome Den! I want so second this. Thanks so much for getting stuff set up, and for getting folks back together for some racing and BSing! I have missed being a part of it for such a long time.
Den, I appreciate the paint jobs so much. They really make it feel like what we always had. If you are willing, I always love anything you can come up for the best looking car on track! Thank you so much.
Honored to be part of the racing with all of you.

YES this racing stuff has been super fun and a rejuvination of life for me, thanks guys...
i could'nt have done this without all you guys being involved and giving me the motivation to get this League going after my heart surgery....
its what has kept me going thru all the complications ive had after the surgery. i still got a long way to go to be back to 100% but every day is a little better.
and like i said, YOU GUYS have kept me motivated to try and get better and give back...
Stash - thanks for getting the Forums site started and showing my dumb ass how to work it (and all the laps we ran testing stuff) (& Teamspeak Server).
Dennis - thanks for making all the cool skins and wheels.
Craig - thanks for showing up EVERY week to race with us...
Deadeyeski - thanks for helping with the testing of cars & tracks and hours of running laps and hours of just B.S-ing on T.S.
ScrafFD - thanks for answering my millions of questions about AC stuff and helping with the 1st server getting it going (and being my arch enemy on track).
im thankful for all you guys to be in my life at this time
ON A SIDE NOTE: when you see any of the guys from SpeedRacin days online, bug the hell out of them to come join us, lol...
Willie (Bill) Scott (z06) Are (Fohat) RaceBandit and any other people you might think would have as much fun as we are...
THANKS AGAIN GUYS

After everyone took each other out in the first couple of corners, I thought I was in for it! But I did not have the consistent pace to hold any lead. Den got by my almost right away, then Stash and Jose eventually recovered and ripped by. CraigT was the last one I had to hold off with the laps counting down less than every minute. I noticed Jose leaving the pits and thought that was odd, by the time I was done thinking, Jose was spinning across the track in front of me. Super bad reaction time and I creamed him like a Twinkie. Last place again, but it was a battle getting there.
Paperclipring next. Concrete and hairpin corners, sounds like a fun time to me!

Hello. Yes, i won only because i was practicing this track alot for that last 2 days until i got best time... It takes alot of time for me (new to simracing, 3 weeks ago i got my first wheel and AC), so lets say im not that good as you that make good laptime first time i drive track..I need much more time for new tracks, hard learner... , pretty noob, so i got this only by practicing alot... Im sure alot of you would have better time than me if you take 100+ laps before.. This track was easy to stay first once when i got first in qualy, its hard to do overtakes because if you make mistake you get in wall, so its more risky. but if it was more laps i would probably do much more mistakes, i did one in the middle of the race, and almost lose my first place.. my tyres was all race cold (dont know why) and then i lose grip.. next track will be harder for sure, it had much more sliding so automaticly much more chances for mistakes, and for now many of us are in 1 second of time but yes, its fun, only thing i would like is to get longer races (you automaticly have more time to lose or gain places), and to get more drivers

yes i agree with longer races.. last weeks number of laps was not enough ( it should have been 25, not 16 laps, it was my mistake on the server setup, sorry guys) i want to keep the races around 25-30 min to accommodate the people who are on the east coast and have to work ( which is most of the group) i try not to keep them up too late so they can get some sleeeeeeep ... Be sure and cast your vote in the "NEW POLL THREAD" for the type of cars you want to run for season #3 starting mid May... all car mods up for vote are available for d/l in AC Car mods thread of forums, go check them out...

Nice turn out at Barbagello. Let's make sure we keep that up!
I bashed Loren right at the start. Probably ruined his car, sorry, I know it does not put thumbs back on the hand, but I did not mean to start so hard and damage your car.
After that it was head down try to get something out of the race mode. Hard to do when you are slow, and did not get a good start. Some of the leading cars had some issues I think. I think maybe I was able to get a spot when others made a mistake.
Eventually I was getting lapped. I kind of hate that. I try my best to be competitive, maybe consistent, but it sucks to go a lap down. I did my best to "move over" for the leaders.
A fun track, not crazy difficult, but easy enough to make big mistakes. Maybe I have not run enough Aussie tracks?
Donnington park will be awesome. Seems like a fast circuit. Tough turn 1, and lots of run off room when you get any section wrong.
Thank you all for making this a fun thing.

I am having a lot of fun with this too. Thanks for putting it together for us, Coby. I really appreciate it. I haven't had any online racing in a VERY long time and I've ALWAYS wanted to run in an Assetto Corsa League. Looking forward to Donington! (You are welcome in regards to the questions Coby, not a problem!)

(You are welcome in regards to the questions Coby, not a problem!) last race you were faster than me, you should win it, but bad luck at the end haha. When i spin first time, you were driving almost half a second faster than me each lap.. On donington for sure I dont have chance, will be happy with top 3

I just love racing, doesn't matter to me if I won or not. I enjoyed it! It is what it is. I think I was having issues with Razer Cortex.. I think it killed one of the processes it shouldn't have.

no, I have "real" part time job, but its flexibile time, sometimes morning, sometimes second shift.. Its usualy only 4h a day so its not problem, problem is only if i work morning so i cant get stay awake until 3-4 am like before during week, but saturdays for races are good.

Last race at Vallelunga was up then down for me. It felt so good to be up, but the whole race all I could think is "do not make a mistake".
The first corner troubles of others allowed me to get up to 4th or 5th behind CraigT. We had a good few laps of me trying to stay on his tail the best I could. With the nagging thought of me making a mistake during the battle., CraigT had a slight off in the very tight left hairpin and I was able to gain a spot.
I think eventually I was passed by some of the faster guys who had trouble at the race start. Then going in to the slower section of the track, I went of into the gravel in the right hand hair pin.
I went off there plenty of times during practice laps. But for some reason during the race, once i got out of the gravel, the wheel was turning hard right. This has happened before at other tracks, after crashing the car hard. But I had a "not so bad" off. Was horrible to drive after.
I did my best to get to the end of the race. Lost any spots I gained in first lap. Got lapped. Finished where I could.
The longer lap time compared to some of the other race tracks made the race seem very long. Most likely because of the wheel turning right the whole time. But the battles I had, and trying to hold onto the track as best as I could felt awesome.
Love racing here. Even a bad finish feels great.

I am looking forward to the BTCC cars a lot. yes, its so cool to have many of the oldschool guys from SpeedRacin, WGTL and Tundra leagues joining back to re-live the fun times we used to have and are now experiencing again... Brandon (GOV) i was very surprised to see you were so damm fast and loved every minute of it ... You, Brook and Zvonimir are all pretty evenly matched and thats what i like to see is close competition... glad ur back buddy.. RACE RECAP i could not put a decent lap together for qualifying and ended up 6th (my worst starting position ever)... The race starts and i got 1 hell of a launch puttin me inbetween 2nd and 3rd (3 wide) oh shit is this a good idea? we all bounced off each other as those guys werent expecting the Swervo Shuttle to be next to them so quickly lol... i saw lots of chaos behind me in turn 1 (nobody called for a RS) so i kept going... trying my hardest to NOT pull my usual trick of spinning and going to the back of the pack, just told myself to be easy and dont take chances trying to make up 1/100 of a second and it worked... Brooke got past me (dammit) and went on to race with GOV as i watched their tail lights get smaller every lap... Zvonimir had an eary off but was catching back up to me quickly then his car went straight into the wall in the last turn as he lost connection... at that point i felt i had 3rd locked up as long as i didnt take chances. As the race got near the end Stash was creeping up on me and by the last lap he was on my bumper... ended up 3rd.. ill take it... like GOV said he is looking forward to the BTCC mod as most of us are... we are 12 drivers strong now and only need 4 more drivers to fill the server (then ill get a bigger server lol) PEACE EVERYONE AND THANKS FOR HELPING IRONMAN MAKE ITS WAY BACK TO THE SPOTLIGHT hope to see you all next week...

Worst race so far (for me)... Problem is I never practice racing, i only do practice hotlaps, so when it comes to racing, i SUCK.. now this need to be changed, from start of practicing will use racing fuel and do as much clean laps as possible without any mistakes.. that is only way to win or to finnish in good position..
Norisring and Barbagello was OK, only 1-2 mistakes per race, but last 2 races were so bad...
so no more hotlaps, only consistency
btw dont know what happen to my server connection, everything was good.. jsut randomly server unavailable... and same second i could rejoin no problem, so there i lost about 3 minutes atleast, so that was 3 laps down, and couldnt catch nobody
So thats why next season should be better, we have 2 races, so no exuses...

My Wife wants to visit Croatia. Any chance we can open the boarder? She heard it is beautiful an not very expensive. What are the best things to visit? I know, that is not a good question about an entire country! If someone was to ask that about Poland, I would recommend my home town. Ostroda is a cool place though. So make sure to visit Poland once this is all over!
