Oh yeah, the United States of America is probably a nice place to visit also. But it is super big, so many nice things to visit. But this is true about every place in the world.
God I wish we could visit anywhere in the world right now.

I am gonna visit Croatia too. I have a good friend who is from there but lives in Toronto. I have to make a plan. Exer, I have some of the same issues you do... Usually hotlap and never race. I have a problem when I am near other cars where I get nervous and make mistakes. We should do some hotlaps and practice close battles.

We have tickets for June 8 2020 to fly from Boston USA to Munich Germ, to Poland. Today we had to make the decision.
I can't imagine the flight will happen. But if it does, we will not be on it. Not that we are scared of travel. Too many restrictions. Most tourist things are closed, masks in every photo. What's the point?
Really sucks. This year we were going to visit my wife's dad. He just had the prostate cancer. Although I have not lived in Poland for over 30 years now, it still feels so familiar and like my first home. We really would visit any time.
Maybe next year? While we are at it, we have to look into a Croatia trip before the next virus hits!

Silverstone was a great race. I felt competitive, but most of all confident. Sure I was not the fastest, but at least i was not making a mistake in every corner.
Had an awesome start. Honestly I thought I jumped it. I heard a couple people mention they were penalized, and I thought I was also! I quickly backed off the throttle, and then realized I shouldn't have. CraigT was able to get by me instead of me blasting by everyone else!
I was able to get back around him. I followed Maverick for a bit, but I did not have that pace. Made a couple small mistakes, and CraigT was behind me. It seems every lap either he would gain, or I would lose him a little. But for a long time he was tyhere to pick up the pieces.
Last lap, we caught up to Jose after he made a mistake. He was between us going through the final section. In the last corner, he bumped me a little and I went around. Not sure if i was to slow in there. I was so nervous not to lose a spot. Also, I was thinking, if Jose tries to pass, we all know what is gonna happen! Too many thoughts not enough concentrating on getting through there. CraigT was able to get by as we get back on track and finished.
I had a great time. Can't wait for more races!

Can't wait for more races! were you thinking shades of INDY, Rich, lolololol... (inside joke) i watched the replay and not to sound mean , but yes u were slow thru that last turn and when i went to accelerate u were still coasting and i tapped u... but i let you stay in front... this was by far the best and most competitive race we have had to date.... lots of close racing all race long... Me & Stash had a great battle all race, i got by him at start and about half way thru race he got by me and pulled away a bit but i reeled him back in and was on his bumper for a few laps. Then i thought i had punted him but upon reviewing the replay i noticed he got sideways coming off the 2nd to last corner and i had nowhere to go and spun him... i waited up (losing 2 positions) but he kept having issues getting back on track... anyways, i ended up 7th and clinched the championship so all in all it was a good day... and im sorry for the incidents on track, but i do gotta say i wasnt totally at fault... just racing incidents... (maybe i need glasses?) lol... thanks to EVERYONE who showed up every week, and the new guys who just joined... this next round is gonna be even better, i can feel it...

I had a great time and wish I could have made the entire season. The last two races have been a ton of fun. I qualified 2nd and got a good start but couldn't get ahead of ScrafFD before T1. I settled in behind him and we were within 3 seconds of each other the entire race and a lot of the laps under a second apart. I don't know if he was just playing with me or not, but it was a lot of fun and really close, but every time I would gain time so would he. By the end of the races we were running high 57's almost every lap. I kept setting personal fast laps but he would still be gaining a tenth it seemed. Good stuff

this was most competetive race ever... nobody was much faster.. i think nobody practice this track alot so that is why.. i had few hits from behind (and my mistakes) but at the end it wasnt that far away from first 2... BTCC should be more interesting because everyone has different car so we cant share setups etc .and each car is driving differently..

I was watching my tire temps and didn't want to kill them trying to stay ahead of you. I also wanted enough of a gap so you didn't draft me! I was discussing this with Coby.... I was driving at 9/10's and then you would catch me, so I would then drive 10/10's and try to maintain a bit of a distance..but then things would get squirrely.. I am pretty sure at a certain level these cars become drift machines. All in all though, I was having a hard time keeping that lead to be honest.

1st BTCC Race of the season...
(RACE 1) i had a feeling the cars in this League were gonna be close and produce some awesome racing... after watching the replays i saw there were lots of great battles going on everywhere on the track... i got lucky and qualified on the pole (wasnt expecting that)... the start was crowded going into turn 1 but everyone made it thru without to much chaos... GOV got by me going into the hairpin right (turn2) but his exit from the turn3-4 chicane was a bit off and i got a great run out of the chicane onto the back stretch and got back by GOV while proceeding to lead every lap from there until the finish. We battled nose to tail for the whole race with a gap between us of 2/10's to 1.7 and everything in between back n fourth all race long... it was very intense for me but i got my 1st win so im good...
(RACE 2) started in the back and had issues with a NON league driver pushing me around and i lost a lot of time to the guys who started with me (my fault for not putting the password on the server)... i finally got by the NON league dude and pulled away having to pick off the whole entire field 1 by 1... with each car i passed, the harder it was to get by them, but i made my way up to 3rd in the last set of corners so i was happy with my results overall... How about ya'all???

So awesome to be on track, even if it's at the back of the pack!
Both races i was slow, made some errors, had a couple grass mowing opportunities.
Second race I was put into second place, which someone said I must have done real well to earn that position! It was as if i got attacked by a swarm of bees. Everyone passed me almost right away.
Still though, it is fun to be on track, trying to drive fast, getting lapped or whatever. Till next time!

I had a lot of fun. I really like touring cars as they really lend themselves to close racing. Race one I got a good jump on Coby but locked up going into 2 and hit him in the side, I backed off to let him by as I hate making a pass like that and then proceeded to spend the rest of the race trying to catch him After 20 minutes I managed to make it back to his back bumper, but couldn't get by on the last lap. Was really close the whole race. Good stuff. Race 2 I had a good start and managed to make it up to about 6-7 after lap one. I had some great battles making my way through the field. Everybody raced super clean. Managed to make it to the front and stayed there. Had a great time and can't wait for next week......oh right next week is New Hampshire......I look forward to week 3

WHEW... glad thats over... NEW HAMPSHIRE ROVAL RACE RECAP: Race #1: Qualified 2nd... Race start was intense as i dove down the inside around the 1st right and pulled alongside GOV going up the hill but thats as close to the lead as i got. i battled as hard as i could to stay on GOV's rear bumper... kept somewhere between 2/10 to 1.5 all race long... ended up 2nd...
Race #2: started at the rear got a great start, was gonna roll around the outside of Nascar 1 & 2 and try to gain a few spots and the BIG one happened... uugh, restart, server didnt like that so we reset the field manually and did a 1 lap rolling restart which surprisingly went off without a hitch (great job guys). i got a super good run as i rolled the outside of Nascar 1& 2 gaining several positions we got thru the wall turn and up the hill someone got turned and cars were dodging left and right (lots of lawn mowing) behind me and as i headed down the hill i got pushed off the track and into the sand but didnt hit the wall. as i came back on track i had lost 5 spots and now was behind GOV again... took me till about 7 laps to go to catch him but couldnt do anything to get by, then opportunity knocked and with i think 2 or 3 laps to go we caught Rich and GOV got slowed down as i had a huge run coming off the backside and onto the main track i saw my chance but Rich moved over too much for GOV and ended up blocking me from making the pass for the lead (not on purpose) oh well, thats racin, so i just followed and got another 2nd...

Its nice track, but problably with RWD cars because of that strange corners the whole field of 12 cars qualified within 1.5 seconds and everyone else ran the track just fine, my suggestion is to learn how to drive the car...... or dont, its up to you but complaining about the track does no good as EVERYONE is driving the same track, so there is no disadvantage for anyone (including you)... YOU guys voted for that track, or didnt vote at all so the bottom line is test the tracks you vote on, if you like it vote for it, if not dont, this league format and direction it goes is up to you league members...

First race got to pick up the pieces as cars in front decided to leave them for me. Finished sixth I think.
Race 2, not sure but starting order had me near the front. Tried my best to get good start but got passed by everyone before turn 1, then they all crashed and called for a restart. Thanks to Jose for getting the grid set for a second attempt. But I am not sure if we did any better? Including myself lap one i was passing folks that made mistakes till I made some!
I must say first thanks Jose and your track guru for the changes to the track that made it worthy of racing. Thanks everyone for the clean racing and passing. Till next time! Peace.

Zvonimir.... lots of people felt that way about this track at 1st... but they showed up anyways and actually when it was all said and done, they actually liked the track and thanked me for picking it (even if you guys actually picked it). i know i cant please everyone but thats life... personally id rather show up and get some points rather than not show and get zero... but thats just me... hopefully we will see you and the rest of the group next week...

So, a few hours before the start of the race last Saturday I sort off rediscovered this group. I had nothing to do other than sleep during the night (start of the race is at 03.00 am for me), so I though I would give it a go.
Now I had no time to prepare for this race other than a few practice laps done on the server. However I do know the mod so it was likely I wouldn't do to bad. On the other hand, I didn't know what to expect.
During the official practise it became clear that there are some fast fellas in here. Good, because I like a challenge.
Quali; Knowing that the fast guys had some victory ballast on I had a bit of an advantage and was going to have a go at pole. Tactic was to go out fast, create a bit of a clear track and just go for it. Set my fasted lap on the first fast lap. Great, as that turned out to be pole position. 0.3 sec ahead of 2nd. Times were close for the rest of the field. Looked like it was going to some close racing.
Race 1; Pole position doesn't mean very much on this track as the front line is 3 cars starting next to each other. Had to make it a good start. Lights went red, lights went off, GO GO GO! I had a blinder of a start helped by the fact that the car next to me had 30kg extra weight to haul. Went into the 1st corner 1st. Took it "easy" on the 1st lap because I didn't want to bin it and lose the advantage I had at that time. At the start of the 2nd lap it kind of went pearshape. At the time I didn't know how it came to happen, but I went wide on turn 1. ( I later saw the grip of the track was at 96%) Took to the grass and had a whale of a time to keep the car straight and have a safe rejoin. Luckily all the guys saw what had happened and gave a bit of room to safely rejoin the grey stuff. From 1st to 5th :-( All I could do was keep my head down and go for it. Slowely but surely I was catching up to the front runners. Passing them one by one. By the time I had the leader in my sights the race was over. 2nd position, not that bad considering it was my own fault I lost the places.
Race 2; Reversed grid ment I had to start at the back of the grid. There was a glitch however. On the starting grid there were 2 cars entangled. They were on the left in front of me, so I knew I had to be careful on the start. Lights went red, lights went off, GO GO GO! I had a very good start again. Decided to go as far to the right as I could because of the entangled cars and the fact that the car right in front of me didn't have the best of starts. Had a bit of luck on my side and was 3rd going into the 1st corner. Now 1st and 2nd were fighting for position and despite me having a good run out of the 1st corner I could not risk trying to pass them. So I held back waiting for them to settle down a bit. 2nd place then made a slight error going into St-Mary's corner. I took advantage of that getting closer, only to see 1st not getting the best of lines through Lavant corner. This gave me an opportunity to pass both of them on Lavant straight. End of lap 1 I was 1st. Nice. Now I didn't want a repeat of what happened in race 1 so I decided to go at 95%. That was not the best decision as that had me lose concentration. Making a few errors here and there gave GOV the chance to catch up with me. He got along side me at Ford Water , but I had the inside line for the following corner. And that's when things went wrong. On Car Radar it showed there was about a cars width of space between us when suddenly our cars touch, skidding mine into the barriers. By the time I could rejoin the track I was dead last and had a bent car. Front Aero was gone... Understeer heaven... Had a hard time fighting back and by the time the race was at an end I was 4th. The reason for the touch between GOV's car and mine I think was down to me having a high ping. Sorry GOV
Anyway, what I took back from the races is that you guys race hard and clean. Always nice to find a group like that. And If you'll have me, I will come over to race again. Not sure when that will be. Time difference being the party pooper here.
So, Thanks for having me and see you on track again soon.

Roy, No worries on race two. I thought for sure I had left enough room out there and I was just about to back out to get through the turn then WHAM! I was going to check the replay, but mine didn't save for some reason. I was lucky and only bent the steering a bit. Was able to catch up with Stash and Ron and pass them....then I ran off in 1 and fell behind them again. Chased them down one more time and was able to stay ahead. Fun races, pity about the glitch on the start of race 2.

i had troubles putting together a decent lap for qualifying but finally had a little something on the last lap before time ran out so i started 3rd.
RACE #1 Started 3 wide and in turn 1 i settled into 2nd place, cold tires wasnt helping me stay in the preferred line. A lap or 2 went by and Roy had a small off which allowed me to get by and lead for a few... i then had an off myself and GOV got by me and the rest was history as the harder i tried to make up time, the farther i fell back... ended up 2nd.
RACE #2 The server had a glitch and started another car inside of mine for the race start. when the green flag came out i felt my car go backwards and then pushed into the wall... wasnt anyones fault so i kept going in last spot with a mile to make up. This is usually where i drive my best and once again it was true... i slowly caught up to each car and passed them wether it was a pass or them having an off. I ended up 3rd so not to bad after a terrible start... then i get another 20kg of weight which puts me at 60kg for the next race. Im thinking this is about the time where weight penalties should start having the desired effect... we will see...
ON ANOTHER NOTE, we will be switching to a ROLLING start for RACE #2 from here out (see the rolling start thread)

Free practise; This weeks race would be run at Croft. A very good track for Touring Car races. I like it ;-) During practise it became clear that I had a fair time buffer over the rest of the field unless someone was sandbaggin'. But then again, I had no penalty weight in the car unlike some of the other fast guys. GOV even had 90kg!!!
Qualifying; I knew I could do a low 1.24 and hoped that no one could get close to that. True to form, did the fast lap. Gap to 2nd was 0.8sec. Part one of what I set out to do completed. Position 2 thru 5 were very close as they were all within 0.2 sec. Those guys were going to have a race for sure.
1st Race; Seeing I was fastest on this track my main concern was not to mess up the start. It wasn’t the best start I ever had, but it got the job done. GOV was on my bumper for a few corners, but then I got in the groove and started pulling away, creating a “healty” gap. Never looked back and was just trying to be constant. Uneventful race for me resulting in a win. Part 2 completed.
2nd Race; This was going to be a bit of a unknown as a rolling start was to be attempted. Had to start dead last which wasn’t a disadvantage as it turned out. Since the position on the start grid weren’t correct we shuffeled a bit when the lights went off. But by the time passed the chicane everyone was in his rightful spot. Tried to get some heat in the tyres as they had cooled down completely. Then suddenly someone shouts GO GO GO, and GOV floored it. I thought “not so fast mate” and floored it too. Maverick who was a bit ahead of us got caught napping and he missed the start completely. Ron seemed to have missed the signal too as we passed him right after that. From then on I had to be careful as Gov and Loren were tossling for position. They sort of hindered each other giving me a good run at GOV in the hairpin. Nice pass that one ;-) Exiting the hairpin I swapped a bit of paint with Loren but neither of us lost time. I didn’t want to do a pass that way, so I slightly let off to give Loren the position. He was braking early so I had to be careful not to hit in the braking zones. Then right after Jim Clarcke esses he had an off slowing his car down a bit. That gave me the opportunity to get along side and have the inside line for the next corner. He then didn’t give me the racing room and turned into me. That didn’t have to be a real issue except despite me holding back he misjudged the braking for the next corner sliding off. Not 5 seconds later I passed Daedeyeski who apparently had a slight off. 5th at that point. I could see in the mirror Gov was involved in an incident and lost time. Next up Stash. He is not the slowest guy out there in his “fast on a straight” Toyota. Had to have a good look first where I could try a pass on him. Then at Barcroft he went wide give me a clear shot at a pass. 4th. Up next were Zovomir and Hosspower (all the way from Australia). They were having a close tussle slowing themselves down. That had me closing the gap on them very fast, but how to get past 2 cars fighting and not leaving a gap. Hosspower slowed much more and sooner than I antassipated at the Complex which resulted in me giving him a “lovetap”. My fault as I was behind him. Luckily it didn’t cast him time but my car skidded a bit slowing me down. BTW, I apologised immediately as I know when I’m in the wrong. Stash then ran in the back of me. Again without doing much harm. Then on the straight after Sunny Out I had a good run on Hosspower. He clearly saw me coming and left the door wide open. I guess he thought he would lose more time trying to defend from me than to just let me go. 3rd. Zvonimir was up next, but he had about a 3sec gap on me. Head down and try to close that gap as fast as possible. 2 laps later he went slightly wide on Hawthorn bend, having me making a move I had practised against the AI. 2nd. That left me only having to pass JoseSwervo to get the lead in the race. At this point I smelled the sweet smell of a win. But how to get by him… Same car, same setup… Tried the same move as the one on Zvonimir and even giving him enough space to race. But it worked. From then on the race was uneventful for me. A win!
This gave me a clean sweep for this race and a boost In confidence. But it has to be said, I’m sure Gov would have put up more of a fight if he wouldn’t have had the extra weight.
Next one Grobnick. And I’m realy going to try to be there.
Thanks again for some nice racing.

In the kink I didn't think you would be crazy enough to try to stick it in there. You were in my mirrors so I took the corner. I was a touch late on brakes due to the touch in the kink. I had to get it straitened out before I could get hard on the brakes. Then I think we had a netcode touch that caused me to spin off.
I was braking early due to the pack of cars ahead. I've raced long enough to know that if I brake late in the corner going 2-3 wide, someone will lose it and collect me.
