I wrote a big reply to not this last week's race, but the one prior.. then I lost it. This last race my replays didn't work but planned on getting them (currently downloading, so thanks for uploading them.) I will respond shortly.

ROAD AMERICA RACE RECAPPre Race Practice i never liked Road America and was never any good there so i worked most of the week with G ROCK & Scott to find the line and speed.... it payed off early (thursday) when G ROCK was matching my times and not going off track, Scott was still having some issues but he is coming along greatly and found the speed ... then my NEW pedals showed up and WOW!! they feel great and improved my braking and braking confidence 10 fold... (thx 4 the suggestion Brandon ) i got the Thrustermaster T-LCM pedals with Load Cell brake pedal and i gotta say theyre worth every penny and even more as you get used to them on track... (now $200 amazon) ... ive had my doubts but now i agree with all the youtube videos of people talking about Load Cell brake pedals that they are the #1 reason you go faster (truth) Qualifyingcame to the track thinking i had a good chance for a podium finish and ended up on the pole by about 1 second and was Highly Surprised... RACE #1 started on the pole took off and Ron was giving me some pressure for a few laps then he must have made a mistake and i pulled away until a few laps later i over shot the corner going onto the back straight and scrubbed all the graffiti off the wall for 100 yards or so (the local gang kids were pissed ) luckily i didnt spin out but it put Ron back on my rear bumper so i had to race hard again to stay up front. as the laps went by i slowly pulled away and all the sudden there was NOBODY in my rearview even on the long front straight so i figured something bad happened to everyone? the last lap i took a sunday drive waiting for some rear view mirror action but it didnt happen until after the checkered flag, so i guess that means i won... Yaaaaaay Me!!! 5 min rest and back to it again -----> RACE #2 i was in the other room with a few minutes left in the 5 min wait and i heard people saying WTF just happened??? when i sat back down and asked what happened i was told the server reset and the Reversed Grid was gone so we had to talk it out for a minute what and how we were gonna get the second group up front and the 10 second head start as we always do for Race #2... The Green Flag dropped and the fast group slowly rolled to the sides of the track allowing group #2 to make their way thru the pack to the front and GO GO GO, the NEW start plan worked out really well for making it up on the fly Ironman Style ... I had to fall to the back of the pack and start dead last, Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... this was gonna be interesting and really fun trying to work my way thru the pack. playing catch up is fun and after 2 laps i found myself at the rear of a pack with Flavio (Mck8) Brandon & Ron going down the back straight. coming out of the last turn Flavio spun and slowed down Brandon and Ron allowing me to get a great run behind them up the hill and i passed them both. next up was Ernie and i caught him at the end of the front straight and had to swing wide to the right to miss him where i ended up on the extra patch of pavement and going up the hill side by side with my right side tires touching the grass crossing my fingers that he knew i was there, he slightly touched me but it was no big deal (thank you for holding your line Ernie) and i took the outside line under the bridge and pulled away (whew)... it was another lap until i caught the next car (Alan) going down the back straight i had nowhere to pass and Ron caught up, i did an over/under pass on Allan in the last turn and Ron followed and we both passed Alan going into turn 1 but then i made a small brake mistake in turn 2 and went a little wide and both Ron and Alan got back by me (DOH!)... i got back by Alan and it took me another lap to catch Ron who was checking to see if the local gang kids came back and Re-tagged the wall as he made a mistake going into the back straight scrubbing the wall clean and i drove by him... it was 3 laps until i saw anyone else in front of me (Brooke and Scott) it looked like Scott was holding off Brooke quite nicely which allowed me to catch up to them within 2 laps and then Scott spun which slowed down Brooke for a econd and i got closer, then Brooke spun in the last turn and all of the sudden i found myself in 2rd place with G ROCK in front with 3 laps to go and a 14 second gap on me so i pushed hard as i could and got within 4 seconds at the end, just needed 1 more lap Congrads to G ROCK on his 1st win...

Finally, a weekend with no big plans, and we were home...till Jose reminded me of Halloween! DOH! We got home from tick or treating just in time. I hopped on Discord and started content manager. The guys were counting down 1 minute till race start! I literally got on the server, was able to load my setup, get on track as the first red light turned on. Wow, I don't think I could have cut it any closer?
It's too bad I was having some kind of issues with my wheel. I noticed the problem earlier in the week also. For some reason the wheel would "lose center" and as the race went on, it was turned further and further to the left. Eventually I had to drive with the wheel 90 degrees off center! This sucked. It made it very tough to exit the corners, and I made a couple offs, hitting the wall once hard. Not sure if that helped or hurt any? I did my best to finish the race, trying to stay out of the leaders way.
Race 2 was not any better. Not sure if the wheel has some kind of memory, but between the two race sessions, the wheel did not reset. So at the start of race 2, I had my wheel pointed straight, and luckily got the message that something was wrong. I turned the wheel 90 degrees to the left. the warning cleared, and the race started. Well, yeah this was going to be fun I thought!
It was not. Driving straight was fine, but any right handers were very tough, especially on exit. I had a couple offs and spins, but mostly drove clean but slow. I don't think I could have done much better.
I can say that even with the problem, it was still awesome to be on track. And maybe I am stubborn, or just accept that things aren't going to go well, but I am happy to push through the issue.
Off to Barber next weekend. A track I always liked. We ran some laps after Jose switched the server. I unplugged and re-plugged the wheel. There was zero issue after. I wonder what could have caused the issue at Eastern Creek?

rich, i had the same issue with my G27 start a few weeks ago at the Willow Springs race. after the 2nd race it got progressively worse. i unplugged my wheel and rebooted computer and it seemed to fix it so i shut down computer and went to bed. the next day i turned it on and there was the non centered wheel, again!!! so i looked up what was the issue and it referred to the optical alignment wheel inside the steering wheel was loose or broken... i took apart my wheel (pain in the azz) found the screws were loose holding the board for the optical alignment wheel so i tightened them and was thinking its good so i put the wheel back together (another pain in the azz) got it all hooked back up and............ NOPE!!!! G ROCK suggested i try the wheel on my old computer and guess what? it worked.... so i hooked it back up to new computer and NOPE... i un-installed, re-installed the driver 3 or 4 times (same driver as on the old computer) to no avail and while all that was going on, now the pedals dont work... WTF? i got tired of messing with it after 3 days and said "F" it and bought a new wheel & pedals... i have been reading up on this and a few people with this issue fixed it with the opening the wheel up trick (only a few) but nobody has come up with a real fix for ALL... most people seem to have this issue with older wheels (some brand new) so i dont have a real answer for you. RICH, id say you have gotten more than your $$$'s worth out of that G25 (10yrs?), its time for a new wheel.. we had this discussion a few nights ago, ur wife gave the ok so its time to pull the trigger you will be happy you did... .

Barber recap.
Could not put a lap together during qualifying, started second to last.
Race 1 had some thrills and spills. I had some good close racing, but I made some mistakes. First, going through turn 3ish with Scott. The group in front of us kind of accordioned up. I was inside with Scott and before it happened I knew it would. A slight touch and we both go around. We gathered up what we could. Then at end of race I got into him again, fighting hard for position. Sorry buddy.
Race 2 I was trying hard to gt it wrong. First, at start of race, I forgot to put it into first gear! Then Grock was behind, and I think I was sliding into the corner. Over driving and we got together. Luckily the rest of the field missed our spinning cars!
Barber is such a cool track, Not easy, fast in some spots, very technical. Easy to get it wrong. I think it makes you want to push an d drive faster.
Kyalami next, another one of my favorite tracks. Thanks everyone. I love racing here.

Anybody having trouble with Kyalami online course besides me? I jumped on the server last night but couldn't get out of the pits due to my shifters not working. I can practice on my computer but not online. The pits look great, much different than on my local track.

Kyalami weekend recap:
Got home late, so i missed all the practice qualifying, and almost 15 minutes of the first race. I was able to join in, which is cool, and ran 4 laps. Best thing was that the frame rate issue I ad during the week seemed to fix itself!
Race 2:
Maverick and Scott were able to beat me into turn 1. I was able to get by Scott in the next corner. I did my best to drive well, until the faster cars caught up. I got a bit nervous watching my mirror. The second to last corner I hit the curbing a bit wrong and it sent me spinning right into Brooke. While I was still on the spin cycle, the rest of the field avoided my car and got by.
The tire marks from my spin taunted me for the rest of the race. A reminder to drive better? A bit later I spun on exit of the final corner.
The remainder of the race I had a great battle with Scott. He had an off and I was able to finish in front of him.
I really really like this track. It looked nice, to me had a great flow, and it's something we don't drive often. I hope others liked it also.
A great season. I wish I could have been at more races, but the ones I did make were awesome. So much fun racing here with this group of drivers. Everyone is so talented. Thanks to everyone for racing. And thank you so much Jose for everything that you do! Because of you, I get to have a great time doing what I love.

KYALAMI RACE RECAPPre Race Practice Had the fastest times in practice, things were looking good for the race... Qualifying put down my fastest lap time ever and GOV pulled a rabbit out of his hat and beat it, good job dude... RACE #1 started 2nd and got the lead going into turn 1 when my kid started asking me questions and by turn 3 i lost concentration and GOV got back by me and as i tried to catch back up i spun, not once, not twice, but 3 times trying to make up lost time.... it didnt work, lol ... ended up 3rd after all the spins... RACE #2 started in the back, 10 second head start for the other guys... by lap 3 we caught up to the other pack... lots of good racing and very hard to get by the other drivers... turn 4 Ron got inside me but lost the rear end and bumped me off the track as Deadeye got by both of us... took a lap to reel him in and get by but by then Brooke and the front group were pretty far ahead... i ended up spinning trying to catch up too fast too soon (yay) ended up 5th, but on the bright side i won the championship by 2 points, Hooray... thats 3 championships in a row

IRONMAN Zandvoort weekend recap. I qualified 3rd with my last lap as the session ended. I know, I couldn't believe it either. The track and car combo felt great, and much faster than the Seat Leon fun run.
Race 1: Busy watching the leaders in front of me, I forgot to watch the inside as Scott T drove on through. Spent half the race as close as I could to his bumper. I went a little bit to deep into Scheivlak, and got my left side tires a bit onto the kitty litter. Grock and Gov were able to get by. A couple of laps later Grock went wide in the same section and I was able to get side by side with him. The rest of that lap was door to door action with him. I was able to maintain position in front of him for the rest of the race. Not a bad drive.
Race 2: I was mugged into turn 1, everyone that started behind me went by??? Good thing these things have bumpers! I chased Scott T and Roy for a little bit as they battled for position. Roy drove off with the rest of the field as I gave chase to Mck8 and Scott T.
There was some incident in the last right hand corner, Ron was sideways across the track as we came through at full speed. He was backing up right as I went by. Gov was also slow on track, and Grock was getting up to speed as our group got to the front straight. Mck8 went wide just a little in Scheivlak, and I made a pass. Grock went with me. Grock got into me in the chicane and I slid sideways as Gov came through the scene. Mck8 had no where to go and hit Gov. As Grock slid off into the gravel I was able to get going.
I gave chase to Scott T. Eventually I was able to gain some time and maybe harass him. Did not get close enough to make any attempt at position. Over all a great race weekend. I was very happy to be competitive. Sometimes I feel like I am out there just in the way. Thanks everyone for the fun time!
